As if the deaths of MJ, Farrah, and Walter were not enough, we’ve just learned of the death of another great, Author E. Lynn Harris. The Atlanta writer, 54, passed away last night at Cedars Sinai Hospital. He had been staying at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills during a book signing tour. Through his eloquent writing, Mr. Harris inspired many people– young, old, straight and gay to be themselves without shame, fear or regret . I remember reading his first three books “Invisible Life,” “Just As I Am” and ” This Too Shall Pass ” with such speed and interest that I finished them within a day or two. Few authors have the ability to engage readers this way, and E.Lynn Harris will be sorely missed.
